1 Week Until Christmas Day

I cannot wait for the Newport Beach Boat Parade Friday night! I love Christmas time. I am trying to decide what I am going to get for my little brother for Christmas this year. He's 13 now and will also be turning 14 about a week and a half after Christmas. He shares ELVIS' birthday. I wish he was a little kid still, I would go to www.mysantawishes.com and buy him a phone call from Santa. I would also buy the Bootprint kit and make our house look like Santa was here.

I went and saw New Moon finally the other night. I like it, it made me want to read the books even more. I
think I am going to buy the Twilight Saga books.

I already have plans for presents for next year's Christmas. I was planning on making my gifts this year but I ran out of time. I think I'm going to make my gifts next year.

I am really, really happy I will be receiving my new Arbonne products tomorrow.

Maybe it's Maybelline

Today, I had lunch at my Dad at my most favorite restaurants of all time ... ROSINE'S!!!!!!!!

Later, my little Maybelline played with Charlie and I for a very long time. She has been very interested in her new toys she picked out at PetSmart.

I have to write about the little Sooch because she makes me so happy. For some reason having a little level 1 companion just makes me so lighthearted and happy inside. Right now she's sleeping on the couch next to Charlie and she keeps kicking his side. She dreams a lot.

There are so many new things going on in our lives it is very exciting. We are trying to keep it low key and really focus on our businesses. Expanding is the way to success I guess! :) I am very thankful for everything I have and I am optimistic about the future. It's always a good idea to continue to grow in every way that you can.

I've taken up my passion for Pilates again, and it is very addicting. My new Pilates Power Gym arrived at my doorstep and has now found its home in my bedroom in front of the tv. I've been using it every-day and I already feel a difference. One of my goals has always been to teach Pilates as well as maintaining the method as a permanent form of exercise in my life. I intend to carry out this goal. Whenever I use the machine Maybelline doesn't know whether to fight me or help me get off. She's very confused so far. As I see more and more results I'm sure she'll grow to love it just as much as I do. She continues to sniff it out and figure out what it is, she'll stop growling at it soon. My cousin is actually in the process of becoming a Yoga instructor and I am very proud of her. She actually inspired me to take up Pilates again. Being so busy with all the changes in my life in the past year, I've forgotten my love for Pilates, which has been apart of my life since I was a child. Alexis, inspired me to check back into my love for Pilates and Yoga. I am very happy I made this choice. She is doing amazing and already shows major signs of how determined and wonderful she is as a young woman and the woman she will become. I just love her.

Now it is time to get to bed and start a brand new week of work. I never realized how much I actually like working until this year. It really is true. Find something that you love to do and what you can imagine doing every day for the rest of your life...if you had to.

XOXO,
Ashlee Krol

Miss California Sponsorship

At this time I am in the process of searching for sponsorship to compete in the Miss California 2010 pageant in November of this year. I am selling ad space in the program to exhibit my sponsors. The ad space runs from a business card size equal to $75 to a full page sponsor page= $700.I am also looking for sponsors who are interested in other forms of sponsorship such as: dress, hair, makeup, dental procedures, etc. Below is the Miss California letter. I would be honored if you or anyone you know would be interested in sponsoring me for this year's chance to win Miss California. I would really like to thank all my sponsors who have helped me along the way so far. I can't wait to compete in November and I wouldn't be able to do it without my sponsorship. My sponsors will be listed in my next blog.

I am headed out to Palm Springs this weekend for a much needed vacay.

I am very excited because we have been working so hard non-stop and now it's time to relax.

I cannot wait.

I have had a lot of fun the past few weeks as Miss Newport Beach. I had my first radio interview the morning after the pageant at the Back Bay Bistro. I also attended an Eco-Fabulous event in Newport Coast to support Inside the Outdoors and their awesome environmentally friendly exhibit and fashion show.

I also entered a website design contest in which our design won. That should be launching here in June. The site is: http://www.momslingolounge.com

Alot is happening and I am grateful for all the wonderful things in my life.

I have learned so much over the past year and a half, now that my life is sky-rocketing in so many aspects. I cannot wait for more...

Miss Newport Beach Ashlee Krol

It is now Monday and this weekend is just now sinking in.

I won the title on Saturday for Miss Newport Beach.

I am so happy I can't put it into words. I want to thank everyone who attended and participated to put on the event. I want to thank all the sponsors who generously contributed to putting on the super fun event on the Endeavor yacht in Newport Harbor.

I want to say good job to all the girls who participated. I had a good time getting to know everyone. The girls were beautiful and fun and thankfully nice.

I look forward to the upcoming year, I can't wait to serve Newport as Miss Newport Beach.

Love,
Ashlee Krol

Miss Newport Beach

Today is Wednesday and I only have a few days left to prepare for Miss Newport Beach. I woke up very late today because I was coughing all night. I can't seem to get rid of this awful cough and strain I have in my throat since the Britney Spears concert. I've been painstakingly studying questions, preparing, tanning, eating right. I am extremely excited for Saturday. I haven't competed in a pageant in about two years now. I miss competing very much. I am grateful that my dad will be there as well as my closest friends. I will be working very hard the next few days to get all of our regular business matters taken care of before the weekend. I am also in the process of moving to a new house we rented.

When I become stressed during these times, I always wonder how women do it. I wonder how a women can have a marriage and children and a career and still have time to carry on their own hobby. I know there are so many women out there who do this day in and day out. It gives me inspiration that I can do anything. As long as I keep focused and don't let my life live me I will be able to achieve what I am willing to achieve in life. I have been taking the time to write out my short and long term goals. I have been doing self-assessments to ensure I am on the right path. I know I am the first person criticize myself when I cannot seem to complete all tasks in a given day.

I recently met a women at one of our training classes, Dr. Tracy Kemble. She was such a beautiful, intelligent, funny, informative, and inspiring woman. I am thankful for the chance to meet her and the opportunity to experience a great training session in preparation for the pageant. I walked away feeling like there's another woman I can add to my "Inspiration" list. I googled her of course and I found even more reasons to look up to such a great person.

As I am preparing to write out why I want to be Miss Newport Beach all these thoughts above come to mind. I want to be Miss Newport Beach because I want to be an inspiration. I want to be a well-rounded woman who can bring hope and knowledge to other young women, and show them that life is not about the events that occur, it's about how you deal with those events to get where you are or where you should be. I will use the title as Miss Newport Beach to promote Laugh Out Cancer and spread laughter amongst all those affected by cancer.

I must get back to work now. Duty calls.

With love,

Ashlee Krol
